the gearshift lever, which is springloaded to lock in the "up" position
when the kickstart crank is used (the foot-peg folds up, too).
Original, wide Vincent pads are used on the pegs for comfort. This
machine is designed to be ridden.

Curb weight: 405 lb / 184kg
Performance: This Norvin is 100 lb lighter than a Black Shadow, with a 28% larger engine, and significantly more power than a standard Vincent. It is now geared for 140mph @ 6,000rpm. The clutch is light, the shifting is sweet. Handling is sharp and sure.
As a last finishing touch, the aluminum side panels could be added and painted to match the petrol tank and there is a small glitch in the lower left side of the fuel tank paint which was covered with a “Tigger” decal for Tigger Alldus, after coating inside with Kwik Poly to seal a pinhole leak.
This is a sweet running bike, and
the reason the owner disconnected the valve lifter mechanism is it starts
running when the first piston goes on compression. Naturally, that
mechanism, the kickstart crank assembly, a spare starter motor chain and
some other parts go with the bike.
